week 13: submissions and module 4

d, we still have loads of assignment to be completed before the end of semester. At first i did not know anything about photo editing.ZERO!now after completing module 2, I managed to edit my pictures using Photoshop, Photoscape, ACD see, IPhoto and Piknic.In future I can edit any pictures to be used for my teaching aids.

week 12:E-Book

New thing has been introducing to us which was E-Book shown by Pn. Foziah to us during the Tuesday class.

What is E-Book? According to Wikipedia, "An electronic book (also e-book, ebook, digital book) is a text- and image-based publication in digital form produced on, published by, and readable on computers or other digital devices." Sometimes the equivalent of a conventional printed book, e-books can also be born digital.

The Oxford Dictionary of English defines the e-book as "an electronic version of a printed book," but e-books can and do exist without any printed equivalent. E-books are usually read on dedicated hardware devices known as e-Readers or e-book devices. Personal computers and some cell phones can also be used to read e-books.

So, after showing two examples of E-book done by our senior, we need to come out with our own E-book and this will be done as a pair work.This E-book must contains:

1) A theme to the story

2) Setting (time and place)

3) Plot that shows the conflict, climax and resolution

4) Characterization

5) Navigational tools to make sure the slides can work properly (can go to next slide and previous slide)

6) Pictures must be clear cut and colourful, no different shades or shadows

7) Sound to accompany the e-book reading.

My partner and I have come out with topic on Color. So, we have come out with the outline and shown it to Pn. Foziah.We were enjoying produced our own E-book and it can be used when we become a teacher in future.

week 11: Picture tells a story.

We were asked to edit a picture so that when viewers look at the picture, they will understand the story or the message behind it. To complete this task, I used Piknic to edit my picture.PiCnik offers so many thing that we can do to our pictures such as putting impact, adding border, increase or decrease the tone color and inserting text in our pictures.

week 10: 4 songs

At the end of every module, Puan Foziah has put 3 tasks need to be completed.Normally the task will be doing individually, pair and group.

For module 3, we need:

a) to choose a song to be as a ringtone

b) to combine 2 songs

c) remove unnecessary sound from a song Dua Insan Bercinta by M.Nasir and Siti Nurhaliza.

For ringtone I had chosen Celine Dion song entittled "Power of Love"

For combining songs i had chosen Mariah Carey and Colbie Caillat

Audacity is a software that we used to edit,cut,combine songs.

week 9:Module 2-Photo Editing

The arrival of Module 3, Photo Editing and everybody was like shocking because it was too thick and we were so tired after completing 2 modules. Assignment, Homeworks are common when we talk about students life.Though we hate, we still need to like it.

Why we need to edit pictures?Why cant we let the picture as raw as the time we snap it?

The answer would be to make the pictures look more alive, to remove all the dirt, unnecessary items that we do nit want in that picture so that the picture will be more eye-catching.
